Roadmap

Track our progress and upcoming steps.

Up first

We are currently working on the smart contracts and user interface for the Bitpost Public Registry. Once complete, users will be already able to register as hub operators or couriers and add their routes and coverage areas to an interactive map. This will allow the community to start building a global logistics network in advance, ready for the launch of Bitpost’s core functionality and the first shipments.

Soon

Following the launch of the Public Registry, the BPG Token will have its Initial Coin Offering. The ICO will provide funding to accelerate the development of the Bitpost platform and support intensive marketing efforts, while simultaneously distributing the majority of the token supply into the hands of the community.

Shipment Manager is the main module of Bitpost, providing all core functionalities for sending, transporting, and delivering shipments. At this stage, we will complete its smart contracts and user interface, making Bitpost a minimum viable product that will handle the very first packages.

Bitpost DAO will establish a fully decentralized governance model, where only BPG token holders can approve updates to the Bitpost protocol through majority voting. This means our team will be permanently cut off from introducing any changes on its own, transferring all decision-making power to the DAO. The DAO will also receive a substantial allocation of BPX and BPG tokens and will oversee their allocation and use.

Later

Parcel locker software

We will develop software for the computers inside electronic parcel lockers, enabling them to be deployed and integrated into the Bitpost network. The software will aim for compatibility with existing devices from various manufacturers, as well as easy integration with DIY solutions.

Integrations

We will work on integrations with various e-commerce platforms like PrestaShop and WooCommerce, enabling online stores to offer Bitpost as a shipping method. Ready-to-use modules will allow merchants to collect the necessary shipping information from customers, automate parcel creation, and track shipments in real time.

Decentralized Logistics

We will launch Bitpost Decentralized Logistics, expanding the platform with warehouse services. Community members will earn income by storing goods in their facilities, creating a global network of small warehouses. Merchants will be able to rent space and manage inventory across multiple locations, with automated algorithms ensuring that goods are always stored close to potential customers for ultra-fast fulfillment.

Bitmarket

We will develop Bitmarket, a fully decentralized marketplace where users can buy and sell any products using cryptocurrency, with delivery handled by Bitpost. The platform will be free from the limitations of traditional systems, protecting user privacy, ensuring security through escrow mechanisms and fair, mutual ratings between buyers and sellers.

Completed

At the beginning of 2022, the idea to create the world’s first fully decentralized delivery “company” was born. At that stage, we knew what we wanted to build, but not yet how to build it. We laid out the foundations of a global logistics network, powered by community members acting as couriers, managing sorting hubs, and hosting electronic parcel lockers. We launched the Bitpost website and began introducing the project to the world.

Turning our idea into a real, implementable system was a massive challenge. We developed all the business processes needed for Bitpost and analyzed various technical approaches to make them work. Time and again, we hit walls: some solutions proved impossible, others insecure, incomplete, or unable to be fully decentralized. By mid-2024, after months of exploration, we finalized an architecture that is flawless in every detail. The result was a complete blueprint outlining all system components and their interactions, giving developers a clear guide to start building.

Once it became clear that Bitpost needed an off-chain layer for real-time communication, we launched the Synapse Network. Synapse is a decentralized, peer-to-peer messaging protocol that allows secure and private exchange of arbitrary data, supporting both direct peer-to-peer and pub-sub broadcast patterns. Bitpost uses Synapse to coordinate parcel routing, exchange parcel metadata between network participants, and provide real-time tracking updates.

As the platform for Bitpost smart contracts, we developed BPX Chain – our own custom blockchain that uncompromisingly merges the Ethereum Virtual Machine with a Proof of Space and Time consensus. BPX Chain is the world’s first EVM-compatible chain to utilize hard disk space for block generation, consuming minimal amounts of energy while retaining all the benefits of mining on physical hardware. After more than a year of development, testing, and fine-tuning, the stable mainnet launched at the end of 2024 and has been running smoothly ever since.

At the turn of 2024 and 2025, we developed the core smart contract framework that underpins all on-chain Bitpost components. It provides a unified system for deploying and upgrading submodules, along with shared mechanisms for the most crucial tasks, such as access control and privacy protection. The framework also includes a range of utilities for mathematical operations and data structure management.

On January 1st, the Bitpost Governance Token (BPG) was officially minted and distributed to the first members of the Bitpost community. These early recipients included participants in the presale as well as contributors to initial marketing campaigns.

We brought back to life a beautiful, bold aesthetic from years past and adapted it to today’s era and modern technologies. This design emphasizes our independence from today’s corporate trends, creating a unique, recognizable look that will serve as the visual identity for the entire Bitpost ecosystem going forward.

Considered

ezBitpost

We are considering an alternative, all-in-one app that integrates the Bitpost platform, a crypto wallet, and a P2P exchange, enabling non-technical users to buy BPX with fiat and use it to send or receive Bitpost shipments through a highly simplified interface. The app automatically handles all technical aspects, hiding advanced settings and defaulting them to safe values, providing an experience similar to traditional delivery services.

Bitpost Fresh

We are considering a service designed for direct, local deliveries where a single courier picks up a shipment from the sender and delivers it straight to the recipient, without passing through sorting hubs or intermediate routes. This could be used for food delivery, groceries and chilled products, providing fast and convenient service within a limited area.

Autonomous delivery

We will keep an eye on advancements in autonomous delivery technology, and when it becomes feasible, we may explore using self-driving vehicles and drones to transport Bitpost shipments, potentially enhancing efficiency and expanding delivery options.
